Features that will be available in the next version (1.3.0)

  • support for camlp4 quotations (quotations are recognized as a single token, but their content is not be parsed)
  • type annotations that popup when the mouse passes over expressions. This requires a .annot file at the time of processing. Those files are obtained when compiling with the -dtypes option of ocamlc or ocamlopt. If typechecking fails, you get a partial .annot file that can be used with caml2html. The implementation doesn't use javascript and only the innermost annotated expressions can be highlighted (eg. in "f x", f and x will be annotated but not the whole "f x" expression). See bf2ml.ml for an example.

Feature requests

(please add your own)

  • adding an option for generating HTML fragments without and wrapping.
  • adding an option for inserting a custom title
  • adding options for inserting arbitrary HTML code at several predefined points in the document
